The Boys and Girls Club has always been special to me, to my family, and to DOORA. It offers us a way to help more kids have a positive experience as they grow up here in our community. My wife and I only have one child, and will only ever have one. The number of children we can help through the Boys and Girls Club’s organization, fundraising, and donations will change the lives of so many more.
As 2019’s Rookie Board Member of the Year and the current Secretary of the Executive Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Oxnard and Port Hueneme, it’s my privilege to dedicate my time and expertise to support this incredible organization. Every year I serve on the Gala Committee to help plan the largest event and fundraiser of the year for our chapter.
Boys and Girls Club gives kids an afterschool option that probably wouldn’t exist without these local groups. My son, Rhett, will be one of the first board members’ kids to go to the Boys and Girls Club here. We look forward to sharing this opportunity with him and furthering our commitment through his participation and our continued active involvement.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme help youth reach their fullest potential through a positive environment, lifelong learning, and quality programs dedicated to the arts, education, character and leadership development, health and recreation.
In 2022, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme:
- Served 2,981 total youth
- Had 191,327 member visits
- Had an average daily attendance of 742 members
- Served 192,223 healthy meals and snacks
- Had 162 total staff members
